About Me

I am a caring, organised and proactive professional nanny and Early Years Educator with over five years of experience across private households and early years settings. I genuinely enjoy working with children and building trusting relationships where they feel comfortable, confident and able to be themselves. For me, being a nanny is about much more than managing a child’s routine; it is about getting to know each child as an individual, understanding their personality and interests, and creating days that are both enjoyable, engaging and meaningful.

I am intuitive to children’s needs and developmental stages and naturally adapt my approach according to their age, temperament, interests and individual needs. I enjoy encouraging children through play, conversation, creativity, outdoor exploration and everyday experiences, while giving them the right balance of structure, encouragement and independence. I particularly enjoy planning activities, outings and projects around a child’s interests, whether that involves supporting early years development, encouraging a school-aged child with a new skill, helping with homework or projects, or simply being an engaged and encouraging presence in their day.

I am also very organised and practical in my approach. I am comfortable managing the different aspects of a nanny role, including daily routines, meals, nursery and school logistics, children’s laundry and tidying, planning activities and outings, and keeping parents informed. I am proactive and happy to take initiative rather than waiting to be asked, while always respecting the routines, preferences and expectations of the family I work for.

My experience has given me confidence working with children from infancy through to older school-aged children and teenagers, as well as within a variety of family environments, including sole-charge, live-in and temporary positions. I understand the importance of being reliable, discreet and professional within a private household, while also bringing warmth, energy and personality to the role.

I particularly enjoy the educational and mentoring side of childcare. With older children, I am happy to be more of a positive 'big sister' figure — someone who can encourage their independence, take an interest in what they enjoy, support their learning, help them develop confidence and introduce them to new experiences. I enjoy creative projects, reading, educational activities, outings and finding ways to make learning feel natural rather than forced.

I am also happy to consider shorter-hour or part-time positions where the family is looking for someone who can provide meaningful, high-quality childcare, educational support and a reliable presence around school or nursery hours. Equally, I am comfortable taking on a more traditional nanny role where a family is looking for broader day-to-day support.

Ultimately, I am looking to become a valued and trusted part of a family's life. I bring a calm and caring presence, strong knowledge of child development and early years practice, and a genuine enthusiasm for making each child's day feel safe, engaging and enjoyable.
