About Me
Hello! My name is Amelia, and I’m a 27-year-old qualified teacher with over 5 years of tutoring experience. I have taught across a wide range of ages and stages from Reception through to Functional Skills at college level. My experience includes teaching in primary, secondary, and college settings, which means I can support children and young people at every stage of their education.
I have taught phonics, SATs preparation, GCSEs, 11+, and Functional Skills, and I currently specialise in tutoring children either SEND. I pride myself on being able to adapt lessons to suit each individual child’s learning style, ensuring that they feel safe, secure, and confident in their learning.
I’m outgoing, friendly, and passionate about helping students achieve their goals. Whether your child needs support catching up, preparing for exams, or stretching their skills further, I will go above and beyond to plan engaging lessons that meet their needs.
My Experience
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education with Qualified Teaching Status and have extensive experience working with children ages 3 to 16. My background includes teaching and tutoring mathematics and English at UK primary and secondary schools. Serving as a camp counselor and leader in both the UK and the US, and providing babysitting and nannying services for children 12 months +. As a qualified teacher I have spent the last two years working in secondary schools and most recently a primary. I always go above and beyond for the families I work with.
My Qualifications
I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Primary Education with Qualified Teaching Status. I am DBS checked with over eight years of experience working with children.
My Availability
I offer a high degree of flexibility, with availability for mornings, afternoons, and evenings throughout both weekdays and occasionally weekends.

We were very lucky to have Amelia with us for 4 months covering our regular nanny’s maternity leave. She was brilliant with our kids (aged 8 and 5), and dog, and really went the extra mile to help us out. We will definitely miss her!
