About Me
Hi, my name is Miss Fitzsimons. I am an experienced Year 5 primary school teacher. I am dedicated, patient and keen to create a positive, safe and fun learning journey for children. I strive to make a difference in the lives of pupils.
My Experience
I am determined to build children’s confidence whilst showing them how brilliant they are. I am committed to teaching and am experienced in teaching children with a variety of needs including dyslexia, speech and language, ADHD, autism, global development delay, processing delay, Rubenstein-Taybi syndrome and selective mutism. I have an excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum, current teaching practices and inclusive approaches. I keep open communication with parents and build strong relationships with pupils and families.
I plan engaging lessons in writing, grammar, reading, maths, religious education, history, geography, design and technology, art, computing and PSHE.
As I work in a school, I have a valid Enhanced DBS and am up to date with safeguarding policies.
My Qualifications
PGCE in Primary Education
BSc Business and Managememt degree
3 A-level qualifications in Law, Business and Media studies (A-B grades)
AS level qualification in Psychology.
8 GCSE’s (A* - C)
