About Me
I am a graduate of the University of Brighton and an aspiring primary school teacher. I am passionate and hardworking with excellent dedication. Some of my stand out qualities include being confident, self-motivated and efficient, with strong communication skills and a kind, sympathetic nature. I have the ability to work under pressure and achieve results, for instance, my position at the beginning of the pandemic creating a safe environment in childcare. Working within a school I have a strong understanding of children's diverse needs that need to be nurtured whilst working closely alongside their families.
My Experience
During the pandemic I worked within a forest school nursery mainly working with key worker's children to enable parents to still be able to work, this was challenging yet rewarding to create a space to allow childcare to still be accessed during this time in a way in which was safe yet as normal as possible for the children. My mum owns a local nursery in which I often help out and love visiting to do activities with the children which has allowed me to gain a lot of experience in eyfs and the way in which young children learn. Currently, I work in a local primary school as an LSA, a job which I thrive and love. Working with ages 4-11 has gained me even more perspective on not only primary curriculum but working with children who have very specific SEN needs allowing me to provide excellent care of both neurotypical and neurodiverse children. To add to my experience I have two younger brothers who have Autism and ADHD so understand SEN needs on a much more personal level, allowing me to excel and love the job I currently hold.
My Qualifications
I currently hold first aid training and have a dbs which I can provide. I am also going to be working to wards a primary PGCE and hold enough experience to provide excellent care.
My Availability
I work from 8.45-3.30 Monday-Friday term time so would be available as soon as I could travel to where needed after 3.30. I cannot commit to every weekend and out of term but I would be more than happy to discuss extra help during these times.
