About Me
My name is Pilar Thorley and I am currently a third year Russel group university student studying French, Spanish and Russian with a masters in Law.
Having had experience for over four years, tutoring privately and in companies, First Class Learning and Blueshift Education, I am a reliable and able tutor with plenty of experience and practice to aid your child in a range of subjects:
English, Primary to secondary
Maths, Primary to secondary
Spanish, Primary to secondary
French, Primary to secondary
(achieved all A-A*s at GCSE)
Through my experience tutoring privately I have had parents notice their children drastically improve in their reading and comprehension, develop good revision and exam technique and also gain confidence in their subjects.
With all sessions being tailored to your child’s needs, a fun, friendly and organised approach to work is taken, with constant communication with parents maintained on how they want their child to improve.
My Experience
Tutoring children privately for over four years between primary through to secondary.
- Tutoring maths and English with First Class Tutoring, Cheam branch.
- Leading after school camps and summer camps within a number of schools with Blueshift Education. Specifically taught coding, robotics and maths.
- externally hired to teach French to a year 6 class.
My Qualifications
A levels in French, Spanish, Biology and English.
GCSEs completed in 12 different subjects. 8 A-A*
