My home nursery is situated in the peaceful and family-friendly area of the Isle of Dogs, London. A short distance away from the business of the city, time here is anything but quiet! Being a parent of a toddler myself, I understand and value the importance of outdoor play - particularly for our city kids! With Mudchute Park and Farm at our doorstep, a view of the Thames from our window, and our very own flower bed, my home nursery is the perfect place to plant the seeds of adventure, and a life-long love of the great outdoors in your little one. Rooted in the Montessori method of education, my home nursery offers hands on, age-appropriate activities and provisions so that your little ones can grow into confident, independent, and self-directed learners. My little tribe can often be found on nature walks, scavenger hunts, playing hopscotch, engaging in sensory activities, using open-ended toys that stretch their imaginations, constructing impressive builds using STEM toys or engaging in a spot of storytelling under a makeshift fort!
My Experience
I am Forest Education trained, so after spending our morning nature walk hunting for minibeasts, collecting twigs and leaves, and counting the clouds in the sky, we return to my home nursery for a home-cooked meal and continue our learning and fun into the afternoon! As a qualified primary school teacher with 5+ years of classroom experience under my belt, I am well-versed in the EYFS Framework, developmental milestones and the National Curriculum. My background in education means that, through carefully planned activities, I will be able to support parents in developing school-readiness in their child.
