About Me
Hello! I am an outgoing, caring and passionate Irish girl who moved to the U.K to complete my Masters Degree. Now that it is wrapping up I want to take on something that I love and I love nothing more then spending time and caring for children. I have one beautiful nephew here in Halifax and a niece and a nephew back home who I Facetime almost everyday. I have been brought up caring for children and love nothing more then seeing them develop and become their own little characters. I am enthusiastic and energetic and adore getting creative with the kids to stimulate their creative brains!
My Experience
I grew up in a household that had a homeschool for special needs children attached to it, my amazing mother is a fantastic special needs teacher therefore there was never a day went by where I didn't help out or spend time caring for my special friends. I have always child minded growing up for family, friends and neighbours. Being named the baby whisperer of the family! I spent time during my undergraduate degree as an English language teaching assistant in Spain working with children from the ages of 5 - 18 and loved every minute of it! I cherish my niece and two nephews and have such a passion for spending time with all children and being a part of their childhood and helping them learn and develop.
My Qualifications
I do not have any written qualifications relevant to child minding, but I believe experience and personality speaks a thousand words! I have cared for baby's right up to teenagers and in a school setting also as a teaching assistant. Upmost care and responsibility for the children in the classroom setting was essential during my time in this role, I not only assisted the teaching I also listened, cared for and mentored the children ensuring they felt safe and comfortable in my presence.
