About Me
I have been working in the childcare industry for the past 3 years
I first started babysitting to help my neighbors’ out for few hours whilst they went to work , or to give them a break for few hours. I especially when they have multiple children . I really enjoyed it so I decided to look for professional jobs within this sector.
I applied for a job with childcare agency which I got accepted so I create my profile did the interview and assessment and started working. I learned so much from this experience like learning how to adapt to each individual child needs as no child is the same. The benefits of the job is that I gained new experience such as being independent, responsible, mature, polite, caring and kind. My first role in the job was to babysit for a 4 year old boy . I enjoyed it so much I treated him as if he was my own . I would take the boy to school after bathing for him and giving him yummy healthy breakfast. After school we simply go out to play at the park or garden if the weather was nice or we would play imaginary games indoor or simply cozy up and watch tv. In this role I learned how to balance/ manage time when working throughout multiple tasks. How to keep to schedule whilst having fun and how to undertake responsibility . Both the parent really like me that I was even invited to his 5th birthday And we still keep in contact till this day.
I have previously worked as a nanny , babysitter, school help, before and after school babysitter, weekend babysitter ,temporary babysitter, mother help - for all ages up until 10 and yes I have a DBS
My Experience
March 2020– Aug 2021 Brown Family Nanny
General Duties. I looked after a boy and girl set of twins from six months until they started pre-school, and 4 years old boy. Duties have included: general care such as the preparation of healthy meals and snacks, bathing and dressing children, and changing nappies; providing development opportunities such as taking children out on trips to broaden their experiences, encouraging children to learn through play, and providing opportunities for the twins to mix with other children through play dates; doing nursery and school runs and taking children to appointments; tidying up and cleaning rooms used by the children; and record keeping.
