About Me
Hello, my name is Sidrah and I am 23 years old. I am a trainee teacher currently completing a PGCE in Primary Education (3–7), and I have been working with children for several years. I am a friendly, caring, and responsible individual who enjoys spending time with children and supporting their development through fun and engaging activities. As a babysitter, I am happy to help with playtime, reading, creative activities, preparing simple meals or snacks, and supporting evening routines such as bath time and bedtime. I always aim to create a safe, positive, and relaxed environment where children feel comfortable and happy. Parents can feel confident that their children are being cared for by someone who is experienced, patient, and passionate about working with young children.
I am mostly available during school holidays, but I can also offer babysitting on weekends and some evenings where possible.
My Experience
I have been working in childcare since 2019 and have gained experience in a range of early years and primary school settings. I have worked in day nurseries as well as school-based nurseries, and I also have experience supporting children in Reception and Year 2 classrooms. Through these roles, I have worked with children aged 0–7 years and have experience supporting children with SEND, including those with autism and ADHD. I also have strong experience in supporting children’s early learning, particularly phonics, which I have been teaching for the past three years to help develop early reading and language skills. Alongside my PGCE, I currently work in a day nursery, which allows me to continue developing my practical experience with young children. I have also completed several relevant training courses, including Paediatric First Aid, FGM awareness training, the Prevent multi-agency course, safeguarding awareness training, and Food Hygiene training. These experiences have helped me develop a strong understanding of supporting children’s safety, wellbeing, and learning.
