About Me
I look forward to babysitting where your child is most comfortable - in their own home. I am passionate about engaging with every child as an individual, encouraging their interests and their talents. I understand that each child has their own abilities and personalities, and I love to promote play, exploration and learning in unique ways that are always child-led. I have worked in Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy and the Scottish island of Canna, and am now working with the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations in Glasgow. I am excited to work with children again, which has always been my anchor to the magic and joy in life.
My Experience
I was a babysitter throughout my teens, and volunteered as a leader with Rainbows Girlguiding and as a Play Volunteer in Glasgow Children's Hospital in the Oncology ward, both weekly for two years. I then studied Primary Education at Strathclyde University, where I undertook experience in different childcare settings. One was a volunteer-led group for children experiencing difficulty in learning and retaining numeracy and literacy skills in Primary 7, due to complex family circumstances, poverty, and conditions affecting concentration.
My Qualifications
I have an HNC in Primary Education, and have had numerous PVGs throughout the years. I can provide references from Girlguiding and Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.
My Availability

Listed are minimum rates. I am happy to meet all of your expectations, complete household tasks, care for more than one child, lead child-friendly yoga, breathwork and meditation, tutor, help with homework and school projects, teach basic Spanish, work in the garden, clean, and tidy your house. Please let me know which additional services you would like me to provide, and I would be happy to send you my rates customised to your needs.
