About Me
I am about to embark on a 4 year MSci degree in Applied Psychology at Exeter, I am a lone parent to a kind, sociable and intelligent 4 year old boy. I am looking for baby sitting/support worker roles to fit around my son and studies. We live in a 3 bedroom with a conservatory and garden so plenty of space for tiny people to play! My son is just graduating from nearly 3 years at forest school and loves the outdoors, art and I.s keen to learn I will generally have my son with me whilst caring for yours. We love to make a mess and learn through role play and imagination, studies have shown the benefits to brain development and emotional well-being. Expect your child to come home with mud and paint on them ( water-proof and spare clothing will be needed :-)) Our motto is no such thing as bad weather. ....Just bad clothing!
My Experience
I have worked as a support worker for adults and youth with SEN and SEMH, A nursing assistant in London hospitals and domiciliary homecare worker. i've most recently undertook a diploma in the health sciences and re-sat my English and Maths GCSE ( happy to help with school work where needed)
My Qualifications
BTEC in performing arts MMM
Access Diploma in Health and Health sciences -DD
English Language GCSE; Grade 7
Maths GCSE; Grade 5
numerous health and social care courses on safe guarding. mental illness, challenging behaviour, infection control, COSHH, fire safety.
My Availability
some evenings and every other weekend. However, having raised my son as a lone parent I understand the importance of support and will be happy to provide emergency childcare for parents and if needed I can do overnight as I have a spare room . Please note as explained above I will have my own son with me to welcome your child into our home.
