About Me

I am a fun, energetic mother of two, who is passionate about providing educational and engaging activities for children to learn, grow and develop. Reading is a favourite activity in our home and we love to make up our own stories too - silly voices, dressing up and building dens all come in to play here! Arts and crafts are also a firm favourite among us (me especially included!) and something I find truly fascinating when watching small hands bring colourful creations to life - the messier the better in my humble opinion! My boys are full of energy and so I’ve become accustomed to enjoying everything about being out in nature - be it park visits, bike rides or just good old welly and puddle splashing fun! I am about to begin my return to study as a mature student where I will be studying an Access to Higher Education at Bath College. My goal is to then go on to study Occupational Therapy at Bristol UWE where I eventually will go on to become a fully qualified Occupational Therapist. Both of my children are now going to be in school themselves and I so with my spare time I would love the opportunity to provide childcare for other parents alongside my study commitments.

My Experience

As a mother to two young boys, Beau who is 6 and has Autism and Bear who is 4 and neurotypical, I have a wealth of experience in busy family life. My eldest son is currently at a specialist school in Bath and my youngest is about to begin his school journey. I’ve long thought about returning to study and since gaining first hand experience going through diagnosis of my sons Autism, I met some wonderful professionals who inspired me to want to retrain as an Occupational Therapist. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working part time whilst raising my boys in a very special independently owned boutique toy shop, specialising in wooden educational toys. Through this I’ve been able to work and play with children and families from all walks of life and learn the power of play (whilst also being able to let my note ‘toy test’ some of our newest additions to the shop!) As you can imagine, over the last 7 years we’ve accumulated quite the collection of gorgeous, engaging and educational toys which I’d love to watch having a new lease of life with children I will care for.

My Qualifications

Currently studying Access to Higher Education Social Sciences at Bath College.
2024 - Plan to study at UWE Occupational Therapy degree.

My Availability

I will be studying a full time course at Bath College and whilst I’m awaiting final confirmation of exact days and times, I have been told to expect a rough guide of 3 full days a week. I will aim to provide care on my days free from college where I will be able to commit to childcare specifically for your child/children only, but also alongside my own children after school.
