About Me
I am 29, live with my partner and my 7 month old daughter. I have made the decision not to go back to work full time so I can spend as much time as possible with her. Outside of family life, I enjoy catching up with friends and family, baking and going for walks in new and different places. I also enjoy travelling and seeing new parts of the world, something I'm excited to start doing as a family of 3. I would say my top 3 traits that have made me a good teacher are having good organisational and time management skills; being patient and understanding towards children and being able to listen to and identify the needs of individual children.
My Experience
I studied for 3 years at the University of Worcester and have been a qualified primary teacher for 8 years, teaching in all areas of ks2 with the majority of my career being in years 5 and 6. I have worked with children of all abilities and can adapt learning to suit individual children. I have taught all subjects in the primary curriculum but my particular strengths would be English (both writing and reading) and Maths. Although I have left full time teaching I would like to continue with some part time work doing what I know and love.
My Qualifications
I have A levels between the grades of A-C in English Language, Health and Social Care and Sociology.
I have a 2:1 BA hons degree with QTS in Primary Education.
I am DBS certified.
My Availability
I would be available from the hours of 4-6pm on any day of the week but only 2 days a week. So you could choose any 2 days that work for you. As of January I am starting an evening course on Wednesdays so after January I would be unavailable at this time. During school holidays I would also be available for tutoring during the day if needed.
