Hi my name is Lauren and I am a mum of three! I have over 11 years in childcare experience from newborn to aged 12 and currently work as an early years practitioner with Edinburgh council however recently decided I’d like a better work life balance.
My Experience
5+ years experience in a nursery setting as a key worker for babies from 6 months to 4 years including preparing snack, bottles, activities to support development, nurture and care, supporting parents and so on.
For the last few years I have been an early years practitioner supporting children's learning through play in school, taking observations supporting their class learning, handwriting and numeracy skills and making school life feel safe and fun.
I also have my own children who are school aged and my natural mothering instincts have always been my best form of judgment and knowledge in caring for children.
I am PVG checked
HNC in childhood practise Edinburgh college
First aid trained (including extensive Millie’s mark training)
Attended several council training programmes to support the needs of children such as autism awareness and nurture courses.
