My Summary

My Experience

Working with children directly for the past 6 years as an early childhood teaching support and Primary Years teaching support has really motivated and inspired me and I am strongly committed to the role I play in the lives of the children in my charge. I have worked with an amazing team of passionate and inspiring teachers and I have developed good skills that has helped me in my career as a teacher. For example: patience and consistency when working with young children, using interesting videos and games to enhance learning, offering one on one support to children, good communication and classroom management skills.

I have supported a lot of children emotionally and academically and I feel really blessed to have such experience. Working with children requires a lot of dedication, hard work, patience, positivity, perseverance and attention to even the tiniest detail. These qualities is what I have mastered in the last 6 years.

I have used jolly phonics to help children identify their sound, blend sounds and begin to read early. In mathematics I support children as they develop good problem solving and critical thinking skills. I use a range of vocabulary in maths and English to ensure that children are deeply rooted in their learning and can apply concepts learnt in real life situations.

With my experience as an early childhood teacher, I have learnt how to communicate and work with children most especially children who need extra support in the classroom .I understand that children are different and unique in their own ways which is why I am very intentional when I create activities in order to achieve the set learning goal. As part of my role, I keep a track record of children’s progress, it aids me in my action plan.

I am looking forward to a more challenging opportunities where I can continue to make an impact in the lives of young learners.

My Qualifications

I have a BSc in Economics and Philosophy and I am currently getting my PGCE and Qualified teaching status.

My Availability

I am available Monday to Sunday until school resumes in September.
