I am a master's student, majoring in Psychology at the University of Nottingham. I intend to study Child Psychology after my master's. My long-term goal is to be able to better the current education system to make if more inclusive, approachable, and diverse.
My Experience
I have worked as an English and Maths tutor as part of the Teach For India initiative for 9th-grade students. Moreover, I interacted with the kids to understand their daily life and help them overcome difficult emotions.
My Qualifications
My academic journey, focused primarily on psychology and research, has provided me with a unique skill set that I believe is highly relevant to a childcare role. Currently pursuing an MSc. Psychology (Conversion) at the University of Nottingham, I am delving deep into the understanding of human behavior, a crucial aspect when it comes to comprehending and nurturing children's emotional and cognitive development. Through this program, I have gained valuable insights into child psychology, developmental stages, and effective behavioral interventions.
During my undergraduate studies at Christ (Deemed to be) University, Bangalore, I focused on Psychology, with a GPA of 3.26. I conducted a project on grit's influence on behavior among college students in India, providing insights into Anti-Social Personality Disorder. I also led "The Buddy Project," mentoring underprivileged children. These experiences honed my interpersonal skills and passion for nurturing young minds.
