About Me

My name is Feven and I was born in Eritrea and moved here when I was 11. I have learned to speak English within few years of arriving to the country and managed to get 12 GCSEs A*- B. I have then continued to study Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Economics in A Levels. I have also gone to university and graduated with Biomedical Science. I come from a big family, I have 6 siblings and 3 of them are younger than me. Since young I have always looked after my siblings, picked them up from school, prepared their meals and helped them with their homework. I have also worked with family friend’s kids and helped look after their kids during my studies. I love working with kids because as much as they learn a lot from me, I am also learning a lot from them. They remind me to be happy and to have fun with the smallest things in life and not to take life too seriously. Kids are full of positivity and joy and to be around them is a blessing. I also love to be a great role model to the kids I work with and teach them important skills of life that they can use as they get older. I also support the kids with doing their homework and reinforcing the content they have learned in school using different examples and concepts.
