About Me
I am a responsible 18 year old who has recently completed A levels. I have been a babysitter since the age of 14 and also a Young Leader at a Guide Unit in Bristol for the last 4 years.
I love crafts, reading and exercise. I enjoy cooking, baking, crochet and jewellery making. Books have a huge role in my life and I challenge myself to read over 100 books a year!
As the daughter of two teachers, I regularly help at both my parents schools and have a good experience of working with children due to this.
I am personable, sensible and kind. I have a calm nature and enjoy listening to and learning from others. I am able to remain calm in a crisis, I'm a quick learner and above all, I love working with children. I am have a sound knowledge of safeguarding and the systems surrounding this. Due to my calm nature, the children I encounter and work with warm to me quickly, and feel safe in my care.
I have a full driving licence and I am currently in the process of purchasing a car.
My Experience
I regularly babysit for local families and friends with children aged from 3 years to 14 years. As a Young Leader at a Guide Unit, I work with girls aged from 10-14. I am able to organise games, crafts and activities for children of all ages, as I get to know their likes and interests from the first time I meet them.
I also have experience of working with children at my parents' schools where they are both senior leaders. I am able to engage with children with challenging behaviour and can calm distressed children rapidly, using a calm and caring approach.
My Qualifications
9 GCSEs at grades 7 and 8
3 A levels at grade D.
Paediatric First Aid certificate through Girl Guiding (completed September 22)
My Availability
Fully flexible - having finished school I am now looking into childcare roles as this is a route I am interested in as a career.
