About Me
I am a tutor with a passion for SEN. I have 2 children one who has ADHD and a speech delay. I know how hard it can be to engage children and love helping those who need extra support. I fully understand that mainstream education doesn’t always teach in a way that’s inclusive to everyone and I pride myself on trying to bridge that gap.
My Experience
I worked with young adults aged 16-24 in a specialist provision for 2 years. I then took a break and stayed at home with my eldest who needed extra support with speech and behaviour. I then returned to education in a primary setting where I have been working as a 1:1 and providing interventions for the past 2.5 years. I pride myself on learning a child’s learning style and adapting my teaching accordingly.
My Qualifications
BSc Psychology 2:1 (upper class hons)
Award in Education and Teaching
GCSE English Language - B
GCSE English Literature - C
GCSE Maths - C
I have also had training in precision teaching, dyslexia based interventions, autism awareness, ADHD, mental health first aid, safe guarding, first aid and phonics.
