About Me
Hello! My name is Lucy and I am based in Cardiff.
I am a fully qualified bilingual primary school teacher (Welsh/English). I have three years experience as a teacher, and extensive knowledge of SEN/ALN children. I have worked with children in Croatia who were EAL (English as an Additional Language). I am also an experienced babysitter and have looked after children ranging from early years to teenagers.
I'm looking to babysit and look after children mainly in the evenings / weekends - please note, I am a supply teacher so I may have more availability. I am also available during school holidays and bank holidays.
If you require private tutoring I also offer this. My main teaching experience is in KS2 (Primary) - I am able to teach all subjects - Maths, English, Welsh etc. I also have experience teaching early years, however my expertise are in juniors.
Prior to teaching, I was a 1:1 assistant for a nonverbal ASD child and able to identify and meet the needs of children with additional needs. I am trained in supporting learners who have nonverbal and have all the appropriate safeguarding certificates.
I believe that children are most engaged in hands on activity and experience teaching craft in particular to children. I have four years experience as a camp counsellor (America and Croatia - Head of Art).
In terms of recreational activities, I have experience teaching dance, art and videography. I am very outgoing. My hobbies include going to the gym, taking my dog for a walk and I thoroughly enjoy a visit to a local coffee shop!
My availability varies, therefore I suggest that you contact me directly. I am currently a supply teacher and looking to make some extra money to support my living costs. I am much more flexible during school holidays / half terms and looking for work during this period.
I am happy to meet beforehand for a chat. Please note I can only babysit / tutor in your home - I have a full driving license and can travel.

My Experience
Two years experience (about to enter my third) as a primary school teacher. I have taught all age groups (3-11) and a KS2 teacher (Year 4 and 5).
I have four years experience as a camp counsellor / head of arts at summer camps. One of them was called Camp Horseshoe in America and Camp California in Croatia.
Prior to teaching, I was a 1:1 teaching assistant supporting a non verbal ASD child in an early years setting. This experience has taught me invaluable skills.
I also have two degrees - a post graduate from Cardiff Metropolitan and undergraduate at Cardiff University.

- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
£14.00ph for babysitting.
£25 per hour for private 1-to-1 tutoring.
I am much more flexible during half terms and school holidays - including daytime!
