About Me
I am a young, active 27 year old with a length of experience working with children of varying ages. I have just completed my masters of Physiotherapy degree and I am looking for full time work as a nanny currently, however with a view to move part time in the future when I start practising physiotherapy. Additionally, I have experience in Paediatric physiotherapy and child development. My hobbies include Crossfit, surfing and mountaineering as well as musical theatre.
My Experience
I worked as a full time nanny for 3 children in Vancouver, Canada. I helped children develop habits of caring for hygiene and cleanliness, observed and monitored play activities, prepared nourishing meals and snacks and also presented programs that furthered language and social skills. I assisted with light housekeeping duties as well as running errands. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the children I looked after completed their schooling at home, in which I worked closely with them and their teachers to ensure they did not fall behind in their studies. I also have prior experience with tutoring maths and English up to GCSE level. Prior to this I was a nanny for a 2 year old boy. I did daytime and night time care, which involved putting him down for naps and also to bed at night. I worked 2 summers at a children’s camp in New York, in which I was a lifeguard. I was also involved in everyday tasks in order to get the children ready for a day of activities, including serving meals and cleaning the bunk. I was also in charge of the children’s welfare to ensure they were safe and happy whilst at camp. I have a full DBS check and I am fully vaccinated.
