I'm a retired primary school teacher with sixteen years of experience, the majority of that was spent working with children for whom English was a second language.
Throughout my career as an educator, I was known as a patient teacher who always tried to make lessons fun, whether I was working in a classroom as a teacher, a students home as a private tutor, or in the nurture groups I ran helping children who required extra support in academics, as well as social and general life skills.
I'm spending my retirement taking care of my two grandsons and spending time with family, as well as daily walks with my border Collie, but I miss working with children and watching them learn.
I'm a friendly, approachable person with a well rounded worldview of languages and culture, owing to my years before I was a teacher, which I spent working as a diplomat and traveling all over the world.

My Experience
I'm a retired primary school teacher with sixteen years of experience. I have taught all primary year groups from Early Years to KS2.
I've worked with children of all abilities, with specialism in SEN, particularly children with autism, ADHD and dyslexia.
The majority of my career was spent working with children for whom English was a second language, and so I'm used to providing extra support in that area.
I have taught all national curriculum subjects including languages such as French and Spanish.
I have five years of experience teaching English and Maths as a private tutor.
My Qualifications
GCSEs in English, Maths and Science, as well as R.E, History, French and Spanish.
A levels in French and Spanish.
BA Honours in Teaching.
