About Me
Hiya, my name is Flaym and I'm a student who has just recently moved to oxford for university. I attend oxford brookes university where I study psychology. I hope to go on to study a masters in forensic psychology and one day achieve a PhD. I offer myself as a baby sitter as I feel my skill set can be perfectly applied to working with children. I took a gcse in food technology and I was raised doing alot of the cooking in my household so I am extremely proficient in the kitchen. I not only have scientific knowledge of nutrition, but I am also a competitive baker who has won multiple competitions. So I would be happy to cook and bake with children and possibly even teach them a few skills.
I also have alot of skills in crafts as I can sew well and make many of the clothes I wear with my sewing and knitting machines. I also took a gcse in art so I am proficient in painting, clay modelling and use of fabrics and wool. I have used my craft skills several times in the past when setting up activities for children I volunteered with.
As someone who was raised in the countryside and around animals, I very much consider myself to be an outdoor person. I am more than happy to get up close and personal with wildlife and nature or go on long walks in the park. As I have a gcse in biology, I am also very knowledgeable of plants and animals so I would be happy to educate and explain those things to children.
My Experience
When babysitting I have worked a wide rage of hours such as afternoon, after school and evening hours. I have also on rare occasions done babysitting while the child's parents were on holiday so I stayed in the parents house and babysat full time all day. My main responsibilitys have always been keeping the child or children entertained, keeping them fed, ensuring they complete any tasks such as homework/chores and just making sure they are overall happy and content. I also have experience in organising clubs and activities for special needs children and working to keep them happy and make sure they are engaging with others.
My Qualifications
I have GCSEs in English, Maths, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Art, Food Technology, Creative Imedia and Geography.
I also have ALevels in Psychology, Biology and Photography.
I would be happy to do basic tutoring on any of these subjects.
My Availability
I am available any time after 6 on all weekdays.
