My Summary

My Experience

I have been a babysitter for 5 families over the years. Most of the families had 2 children, but I have looked after a maximum of 4 children before between the ages of 6-11. I have primarily babysat during the evenings where my main experience is being able to oversee the children during their evening activities or providing entertainment. I am also able to cook, clean and help with homework if needed. If families do have dogs, I have a lot of experience in dog walking!

Other than my babysitting experience, I have had responsibility for children through various other work including tennis and hockey coaching, teaching assistant at my primary school as well as working very recently for an organisation who works very closely with schools in which I have gained safeguarding qualifications.

Within my tennis coaching I was usually given the responsibility by my employers to look after the youngest age group: 2-6 years old, but also have experience with older groups: 6+. Initially, I would support the head coach with lessons, but I progressed to leading my own sessions with the children, devising methods of making the lessons fun.

Within my hockey coaching I evolved from assisting the head coach in planning and execution of practice sessions and drills to leading my own sessions for Year 8 & 9 students (aged 12-14).

I briefly did a week of work experience where I worked as a teaching assistant at my old primary school. I assisted with lessons for Year 1 children (ages 5&6) and helped individuals with their reading and other core subjects.

- advanced child protection training qualification
- minimal first aid training
- food hygiene training and qualification

My Availability

As stated previously, I am a full-time student but available afternoon to evenings of most days
