About Me
My name is Catherine and I work from home/ in clinics as a CAMHS practitioner. My husband also works from home as a charity director. I live with my husband and two children (10 and 8, both boys) and our buddy dog, Wendy who is a golden retriever. My 8 year old has cerebral palsy and epilepsy and attends mainstream school 3 days a week and a special needs school in Aylesbury 2 days a week. He loves playing on the Switch, watching shows, taking the dog out for walks and music. My 10 year old loves football, basketball, dogs, reading and relaxing.
My Requirements
We would love someone to care for my 8 year old, Ben, on a weekly basis for 5 hours a day at the weekend. We are flexible on timings and days, but it would need to be a regular slot. The role would be physicial (he is fully wheelchair bound) with intimate care as required. Duties would be to stimulate and engage him in games, activities and outings, bearing in mind his limitations. You can have access to our car if that would help. You must be extremely calm and patient and be child-led and flexible, whilst also having some ideas to engage him in play. You can eat at ours, and use our facilities, but Ben will also need some help eating as well.
You might be in sole charge of Ben, and his brother Finn will likely be in the home on occasion and might want to join in, but you would not be responsible for Finn.
