About Me

Are you looking for a trustworthy and caring childcare provider who will treat your child as if they were their own? Look no further! I am not only a friendly and reliable caregiver, but I am also a compassionate individual who understands the importance of building a strong bond with your child.

As a parent myself, I know how crucial it is to find someone you can trust to care for your little one. I appreciate the responsibility that comes with being entrusted with the well-being of your child, and I take this role very seriously.

In addition to my childcare experience, I am also a trained counsellor. This means that I possess transferable skills such as empathy, understanding, and being a good listener. I understand that every child is unique and may have different needs, and I am committed to providing personalised care that meets those needs.
I believe that getting to know your child on a personal level is essential in providing the best care possible. I will take the time to learn about their interests, hobbies, and preferences. By doing so, I can create a nurturing environment where your child feels valued and engaged. Whether it's playing their favourite games, exploring their creativity, or simply having meaningful conversations, I will ensure that our time together is both valuable and fun.

Rest assured that your child's safety and well-being are my top priorities. I am dedicated to creating a secure and loving environment where your child can thrive and grow. You can have peace of mind knowing that they are in capable hands.

If you're looking for a childcare provider who goes above and beyond, someone who will treat your child with love and care, and someone who understands the importance of building a strong connection, then I am the perfect fit for your family. Let's embark on this journey together and provide your child with the nurturing care they deserve.

My Experience

NANNY -
Working within someone else’s home requires an enormous amount of trust. My capability to build a positive relationship with the family was essential. Open and honest communication were key qualities I needed to achieve this. I made sure I fully understood and respected the parents’ wishes, which ensured that I provided dependable and satisfying support in their absence. Responsibilities included – providing healthy home-cooked meals, first aid knowledge, liaising with other parents and schoolteachers, supporting homework, organizing holiday activities outside the home, and general daily household duties.

SUPPORT WORKER -
This role was complex, and it required the ability to fulfil serious medical needs. Working independently with the client meant that reliability, communication, and diligence were crucial qualities for this job role. I supported the client's daily and medical needs, personal care, and activities outside the home. Helping them to fulfil their life potential, whilst also providing relief for the family.

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT -
This role was fast-paced, challenging and very rewarding. Supporting the teacher with her daily lesson plans and assisting the children in their learning objectives.
One key responsibility within this role was being the personal SEN assistant for one pupil with complex additional needs.

SENIOR CHILDCARE PRACTITIONER -
Each term it was my sole responsibility to plan and implement educational activities that adhered to the EYFS curriculum. Daily duties within this role included maintaining personal care, tracking each child in their development and progress, updating daily diaries and ensuring the safety and well-being of each child within our care.

CHILDCARE PRACTIONER, YOU & ME PRESCHOOL
Responsibilities included – adhering to the EYFS in supporting development, learning journeys, key children, planning and implementing activities, maintaining health & safety, cleaning, expenses and securing the premises. Working within this role required good teamwork, but also the ability to work independently when necessary. Skills needed would include – effective communication and, a flexible and cooperative approach towards work, whilst also maintaining a high level of reliability. Working closely with young children required the skill of patience, genuine enthusiasm, and the ability to maintain a light-hearted approach.
