I am a 19 year old university student attending the UEA for a BA degree in English Literature and creative writing.
I am a lover of all things music, film and art.
My hobbies include writing, reading , playing my bass guitar and going on walks where I will either draw or take photos. I also am a big animal lover with 3 dogs and a cat back home.
I am strong minded, independent, responsible and charismatic. I am passionate about working with children as I find it is a job that teaches me something new everyday and I am a keen and fast learner. I learn a lot from the kids I look after so feel it is a relationship that goes both ways built on trust, mutual respect, kindness and boundaries. I am a warm, gentle and calm presence who loves to be energetic and fun with the children but also is fair and promotes good behaviour and manners.
My Experience
I am experienced in a range of fields including hostessing in a restaurant in Manhattan, NYC
aswell as Bartending in a bar and club in West London and doing free lance writing for various magazines ( this is something I hope to take further with the aim of being a journalist after university)
in terms of childcare, I am an older sister of two siblings who I completely adore. My parents both worked full time meaning I was taught the skills of child minding and babysitting from a young age. I learnt to make meals, put to bed, do bath time, aswell as the school runs and mainly, homework help and tutoring.
I worked doing part time babysitting/nannying jobs for two families in London before I moved to Norwich and also helped out a Sports Holiday Camp in North London as a teaching assistant for children aged 4-10, where we played different outdoor and indoor games revolving around team sports.
My Qualifications
In terms of childcare qualifications, I don't have any as have never been a nanny registered with any sort of agency and gotten jobs through friends and family.
I have a bartending license which I will not be using whilst looking after children but may appeal to my adult employers... (haha)
I have 11 GCSES and 3 A- Levels and am equipped and available for small tutoring jobs for children under 16. (Humanities subjects only) specialising in English.
My Availability
The best time for me is after school and evenings where I am available every day of the week and weekends. on Monday and Tuesday I am free after 4pm, on Wednesdays after 2pm, and on Thursdays Fridays and Weekends I am available all day and all evening.
