About Me
I am a mum to 4 children and 2 step-children (all adults) and grandparent to 10 children.
I think people would describe me as being reliable, trustworthy, responsible, supportive and having a good sense of humour.
My interests include: reading, music, crafts and cooking.
I also enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultures.
I have my own car.
I love animals and dogs in particular.
My Experience
I have specialised in education social work throughout my career. This has enabled me to work with children from birth to 18 years for many years.
I have recently been made redundant and having always worked with children, miss it very much.
I am a school governor and have been a foster panel member for many years.
I enjoy helping children to learn and have fun.
Throughout my career I believe I have always been able to develop a rapport with children and young people, and consequently, have always enjoyed working with children of all ages and their carers.
My Qualifications
I am a qualified social worker and counsellor and am registered with the HCPC. My enhanced DBS check is current.
Over the years I have done many different training courses relevant to children and childcare. Much of this has been in relation to safeguarding.
I am able to provide excellent references.
My Availability
I would like to begin working around Christmas time and can be totally flexible
with days and times. I realise that parents need childcare at all sorts of times, and occasionally at very short notice. I will happily to provide this for you.
I will be happy to offer childcare in Goole and surrounding areas.
