About Me
My name is Safia and I am a graduate in Biomedical Science. I have a PGCE with QTS in primary teaching. I enjoy working with Children which gives me a true sense of belonging. A place where I feel I can continue my teaching journey to have a positive impact on the development of children and education.
I have been tutoring for over 3 years and have had a lot of positive feedback from parents regarding their child’s learning.
My Experience
By teaching a range of ages and abilities I have honed my communication, creativity and motivational skills.
I have established clear routines and have high expectations for our children, showing how I believe in them and by seeking out ways to offer positive, specific praise to motivate children, inspiring them to achieve their potential. Moreover, putting the outcomes of the children at the heart of what I do from the day to day moments and the long term goals is essential to make our children ready for the world beyond.
One of the best resources as a teacher is the knowledge, wisdom, and support from our parents/carers. I have learnt and then adapted to the importance of working collaboratively with parents to maximise the academic and pastoral outcomes of children. By listening to parents, encouraging open and honest conversations has allowed me to work together in the best interest of the child. This has helped me to develop meaningful relationships with parents.
I have been often praised by both my professional and university mentor for my a resilience, enthusiasm and hardworking nature.
My Qualifications
I have a BSC in Biomedical Science and a PGCE in Primary teaching.
My Availability
Evenings on weekdays and anytime on weekends.
