Hello I am Emma and I am an enthusiastic and confident sole charge Nanny with 15 years experience in childcare. I’m extremely passionate about working with children and contributing to their development, in fact I can’t imagine doing anything else. I’m reliable, knowledgeable and extremely organised. My Experience
8 years experience working as a Nanny for professional families which includes sole charge roles, mothers help, newborns, twins and shared care roles (working with two different families at one time).
Roles include- caring for the children at all times, ensuring the well being, safety and comfort of the children and attending to all their needs.
Arranging and facilitating activities and days out. Creating fun and loving, playful environments.
Cooking and preparing healthy meals. Experience with allergies, intolerances, weaning, breastfeeding and bottle feeding.
Washing, dressing and changing the children. Potty training, encouraging independence.
Excellent communication skills with families and encouraging positive behaviour and always giving emotional support.
Creating and helping with routines both day and night.
3 years experience working as a Paediatric Nurse at Great Ormond Street.
Roles include - Providing a high standard of patient care at all times.
Taking responsibility for the well being and management of care for sick children and dealing with their everyday and night needs.
Calculating and administrating accurate medications.
Knowledge in specialised childhood medical conditions and the care that needs to be provided.
Experience with neonates up to teenagers, children with special needs.
Working as part of a team and communicating effectively.
Volunteering at my children’s school weekly as a parent reader. I have a great deal of knowledge in the phonics scheme, teaching children to blend letter sounds to make words and encourage reading.
