MEL'S MINI MONSTERS!!!!
SUMMER AVAILABILITY FEW PLACES REMAINING FROM 29 JULY!
IMMEDIATE part time/full time vacancy
My name is Mel and I started childminding in 2004. I have 3 grown children one a childminder one a primary school teacher and the youngest is at university but works as part of the entertainment crew at Haven holidays when not term time. I have 2 granddaughters aged 6 and 2. I am Ofsted Registered and live in Great Sutton, I was graded Outstanding in March 2012 and Outstanding again in January 2016. I offer a relaxed homely environment and designated playroom where the children are well cared for stimulated and encouraged in all they do. Their learning is through play opportunities and experiences and I offer and support these daily. We go out daily to explore the local parks farms, zoo , blue planet , toddler sessions, woods play centres etc as social interaction outside their environment is really important and as a childminder I can offer this unlike a nursery. I am extremely flexible to support parents whatever their hours may be. I work closely with parents to encourage the best from their child, ensuring continuity of home routines where possible. I will keep you closely informed about progress and milestones with daily photos and various paperwork and also welcome parents feedback and suggestions as this partnership is a very important part of successful childcare. I have lots of excellent parent references to show how settled and well cared for their children are and how pleased they are with the service and flexibility I provide.
I collect from Cambridge Rd Primary William Stockton and I take and collect from the Oaks Primary I Have taken babies/toddlers until leave to go to a different primary school.
I am fortunate to have 2 Emergency Childminder's available if I am ever ill or have appointments etc. (I have only had 7 days off sick in 14 years) both would know the children as one is my daughter and the other my next door neighbour both of whom are Ofsted Registered.
I am a member of Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (Pacey) and I am registered on this site with" i child" with further details.
I am registered for Childcare Vouchers with several companies including care4, fidelty, computershare and sodexo

I keep upto date with all relevant training, and courses that I think will support any child with their learning journey. Mel helped us out when we initially moved to the area with some evening babysitting. She came recommended from a colleague and she was great! Reliable, flexible and we felt comfortable leaving our 3 year old with her.
Mel is an amazing childminder she has been looking after my son for nealy two years and i wouldnt want him to go to anyone else. would highly recommend to any one looking for a childminder my little boy loves going to Mel's i am able to relax knowing liam is happy and safe and being well looked after nothing is ever to much and always there to help. Being single parent is hard trying to work and fit around child care but Mel has been very accomodating and made it easier for me to be able to go to work. So greatful for all she has done to support and help me with Liam.
My daughter if 4 has been going to Mel for a few months I took her out of a private nursery and decided to go with Mel.
My daughter has separation issues away from me but since she started with Mel that has all changed she wakes up in the morning at 6.30am asking if she can go which is brilliant news for me when I have to go work, I like knowing my daughter is happy and safe.
Mel is a lovely lady and the children she looks after a lovely very friendly and welcoming.
My daughter loves going, Mel does all sorts of activities with the children, has a very good variety of toys and takes them many places to interact with other children.
I would certainly recommend to anyone.
Mel started minding my 4 year old son 4 months ago since I decided to remove him from a private nursery. He quickly settled into Mel’s care despite being shy and reserved.
Mel took the time to source toys that specifically appeal to his age, gender and personal preferences so that he is happy in her care. She plans activities around his personal likes and takes all the children on indoor and outdoor trips/activities regularly. My son always wants to stay longer at Mel's house as he has so much fun there, which says it all!
I am so pleased with Mel that she has recently looked after my 13 month old daughter as well. Mel is very flexible and accomodating too as she caters for all my frequently changing requirements.
From the designated toy room/conservatory to the garden, Mel's house has it all and I'm so glad she is our childminder.
I started to use Mel when my child Amelia was 9 months old. Mel has looked after her for the past 3 years and in that time she has changed considerably for the better. She is much more confident and has gained a lot of social skills.
I have found Mel to be extremely helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble. She does a variety of activities with all the children both inside and outside the home and they go on numerous trips to parks, parties, groups etc. She interacts with a lot of other children be it through other child minders, toddler groups or friends as well as playing with Mel's own children all of whom are caring, polite and wonderful role models.
I would most definitely recommend using Mel, as a childminder, as not only does she look after them physically but she gives them loads of love and affection too.
I have found Mel and all her family to be exemplary people and I'm so glad that my child has had the benefit of her care. I've never had any cause for concern in any respect.
