My Summary

My Experience

I have just finished working as a live-in Nanny in Sydney Australia for a family of 5 (a set of twins aged 5 and an older boy aged 8). I would cook, clean, get the children ready for their day and then entertain them after school, ensure homework was completed and do bedtime routine. I would play lots of fun games and activities with them and make sure they were happy, their emotional needs were met and that they trusted me as their Nanny! On top of this I used to work with another family with younger children (18 months and 3 years old) where I would play with the children, feed them and take them on days out to ease the work load for the mother who was still on maternity leave. Moreover, I worked for over a year as an Academic Mentor within a high school where I worked with children between the ages of 10-18, some of whom had special educational needs. My breadth of experience working with children of all ages will aid me when working with a new family here in my hometown of Manchester!

My Qualifications

I have a degree in English Literature from the University of Sheffield and I have previous experience in First Aid and Lifeguarding. I also have a qualification in Fresh Start Phonics which proves valuable especially with younger children or high school age children whose reading ability maybe slightly lower than where is expected.
