About Me
I am available to support families and young people with babysitting, child care or specialist support where required. As seen within my experience I have worked in a range of settings with young people with a range of needs and pride myself on my ability to adapt my practice and meet the needs of the young people and families I am supporting. I have worked with a number of families in child care roles and understand the importance of building trusting and supportive relationships with the whole family and ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of the young people within my care. I am currently have availability through the week and some availability at the weekend (this depends on the needs of the current families I support). I am able to offer babysitting/child care but also happy to provide more specialist support with young people/families who may be looking for support with morning routines, school run, behavioural needs or any further specialist needs. I am happy to answer any questions, discuss my experience and what I may be able so support with.
My Experience
I have ten years experience working with young people with a range of needs in education and home settings. This includes working in specialist and mainstream secondary schools in pastoral and wellbeing roles with a focus in developing young peoples emotional literacy. I have also worked with a number of families and young people ranging from 5-20 with Autism and other specialist needs (including medical needs) at home and in the community supporting building independence, healthy routines and providing care during the day and over night where required. I have had a wide range of training and experience in therapeutic support, PDA, SEMH, Autism, selective mutism, medical needs (stoma, diabetes, epilepsy).
My Qualifications
I am educated to degree level and have a range of additional qualifications and CPD through my work in education. I am happy to share this where required. I have previously been first Aid trained however am in the process of getting this renewed.
