Hi, I'm Charlotte. I’m a bubbly, smiley character, who enjoys hanging out with children and young people. I have plenty of energy to keep up with them and I am always up for doing anything, whether it's playing games, coming up with fun activities, helping with homework, taking them on adventures, or settling down to some reading.
I also have an empathic side and like to listen to, understand and get to know the young people I work with, such as their likes and dislikes, and what makes them laugh, and bring positive energy to their day.
My Experience
I've got experience babysitting and childminding of all ages, from toddlers to teens. Recently I have been looking after a toddler in the local South East area, we've had lots of fun together going for strolls through Nunhead cemetery, playing with the toys in Salvation Army, and having some chill time reading together and putting them down for naps. The child’s mother has even commented on how happy her child is after we spend the day together.
I've worked for an NGO in youth charity fundraising and campaigning, and thus have been around young people in a range of settings, from supporting them in their fundraising to designing and delivering campaign workshops.
Recently I finished my master's degree in Sociology of Education at UCL, where my First class dissertation research was a workshop with secondary school pupils.
My Qualifications
MA in Sociology of Education at UCL.
BSc in Economics from Queen Mary.
A-levels and GCSEs.
