Hi I’m Lily!
I’m a screenwriter and tutor based in north London, with an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Oxford, and a Screenwriting MA from the National Film and Television School. I have nearly two years experience as a Teaching Assistant in primary schools and have worked with years 2, 5 and 6. I'm patient, creative, and as an ADHDer myself, I love working with children who think a little differently and whose brilliance isn’t necessarily appreciated in a mainstream school setting. I’m always looking for ways to incorporate my students’ individual passions and strengths into my tutoring style and I love to watch their enthusiasm grow for subjects they’ve previously found challenging.
My Experience
Last academic year I was a full time TA in a year 6 class at King Solomon Academy. As well as general classroom support, I provided 1-1 interventions to 4 pupils with SEN and ESL, focusing on reading, writing and maths, but also supporting when needed in all other subjects. All four students exceeded their predicted scores in their SATs and increased their reading age by at least 3 years. I was also the assistant in a specialised class for year 6 children who were scoring below the expected standard in reading. By the time it came to SATs, 95% of the children in that class scored at or above the expected standard.
This academic year I am working part-time as a 1-1 Learning Support Assistant to a year 5 boy who is autistic and dyslexic. I support him in all subjects. I also work part-time as a TA in a year 2 class. I teach small-group interventions in literacy and maths to the children who are currently below the expected standard of attainment.

My Availability
I’m currently available Wednesday-Friday in the mornings or after school. I’m also available on weekends.
