About Me
I am a 19 year old university student studying SEND. I am friendly and love working with children! I am looking for work with a family whilst living at Uni in Bedford. I cannot commit to school holiday work due to other commitments with a family in my home village. I do not have a car so a family based in Bedford would work best for me as I can use public transport or walk. I am looking for work starting ASAP until the end of June with the possibility of starting work again in September for the next school year.
My Experience
I have worked with a family of 4 for 18 months. This family consists of a mum, dad, and two daughters (aged 10 and 13). The 13 year old child has a rare disease which causes learning disabilities therefore she is non-verbal and needs assistance with personal care and feeding. My responsibilities within this family include spending time with the 10-year-old so that the parents can focus on the 13-year-old as well as taking the 13-year-old to the park, going for walks, and feeding her.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care and have recently finished my first year studying a BA (Hons) Education with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
My Availability
I am available every day from 3/5/24 until 21/6/24. After schools would be preferable but I can help with school drop offs if needed.
