About Us

Here at Early Education Centre and Early Buds Nursery we put Cultural Capital at the heart of all we do. From our baby room – we create an environment of safety and opportunities for babies to imitate what they have seen and learnt, all the way through to pre-school, where we are providing experiences for children to have the knowledge and tools to be capable and able to deal with the next stages in their early childhood.

We focus on a holistic approach to children’s development which includes spending time
exploring the outdoors, engaging in physical activities that improves their gross motor skills. Weread to children to improve their cognition of words and ideas, and to set them off on a journeypowered by their imagination. We use everyday materials to make things, to discuss ideas andculture that we see around us everyday, and we do all of this in an environment where childrenfeel safe amongst their friends and the adults around them.

We use our expert knowledge and experience, to plan and execute well thought out activities in all seven areas of learning within the EYFS, one of which is understanding of the world. We
introduce age-appropriate technology to children from a young age and let them experience
the power of it, when used appropriately. Depending of children’s age, technology can be as
simple as a battery powered torch, headphones, interactive lights, or more complex such as
calculators and touch sensitive computers i.e. iPads.

During a child’s time with us at nursery we aim for them to become citizens of the world. This
includes not only setting up activities to ignite and add to their curiosity, but also provide
opportunities to learn how things work, where things come from, the meaning behind things, and universal life values.
