About Me

I am a 20 year old social policy student from Newcastle, born to Spanish parents. I come from a bilingual home speaking Spanish and English and being an older sister to two. Being the oldest sibling and cousin has allowed me to adopt a friendly approach while also being patient and understanding when working with children.

My Experience

I have spent two summers working in English language- focused summer camps as an activity leader with children aged 8-17. I have been praised for the manner in which I maintain such professionalism while being able to create an environment that the children feel comfortable and can have fun in.

I also spent just over a year volunteering with girls aged 10-14 at Girl Guiding UK where I helped to encourage the organisations values of team work, caring for the individual and sharing a commitment to the common standard.

I have further experience with children under 10 through my family, as I am both the oldest sibling and cousin. Having a younger brother with special needs has also made me experienced in this area, and I currently work as his carer at his job where I provide support and reassurance for him throughout his shift.
