My Summary
About Me
Dear Parents,
My name is Severine, I am an Ofsted registered childminder and I operate a childcare service called Quality Childcare, I offer a home based childcare service in the Maida Hill area of London with the help of an experienced childminder assistant, my mum Valentine.
I am Black British, my mum's nationality is St Lucian. We are loving, playful and genuine people whose passion it is to provide childcare and support parents with any needs they may have with their child's learning and development.
We have just celebrated 15 years of providing a good childcare service. We provide the daily care routines to children alongside an environment that enables children to express and develop on their play.
We have a welcoming child orientated home which is colourful and filled with toys and equipment for children of all different ages.
We have two playrooms and a spacious garden which has two levels with a range of outdoor toys - Climbing frame with an attached slide, Playhouse, sand & water trays, trampoline, Mud Kitchen, tricycles, see saws and balls.
We have a room separate from the playrooms for children’s to sleep which is equipped with a baby video monitor and cots.
We care for children between the ages of 6 months to five years of age. The ages and numbers of children being cared for vary on each day due to the days of childcare that have been requested by a family.
Our childcare was graded a GOOD early years setting by OFSTED in our last inspection which took place in March 2016.
Parents are kept informed about their child's learning and development through our unique online software program, Quality Childcare, which can be download from an App Store. Parents have a secured android app or computer access to their child daily routine which will include the meals given, toileting, bottle feeds and sleep pattern. We use this system to also effectively monitor children's progress from their starting points which enables more targeted support throughout their time in our care and it also enables us to observe children so opportunities for children to solve problems independently and improve children's learning through play is given to each child in our care.
Parents can receive a notification each time a care routine is carried out. At the end of the day parents can access a daily note and photographs of their child day.
Parents can also contribute to their child's learning and development by adding their own comments, videos and photo's.
Quality Childcare is situated next to Paddington Recreation ground, Tamplin Mews Gardens and Little Venice Canal which are places we often visit.
A settling in period is given to any child starting our care. A new child will attend for a few hours on each of their parents chosen days over a week before starting on their parents required start date the following week.

My son was in the care of Severine and Valentine from the age of 6 months to 4 years old. I was very happy with the care they provided and most importantly very comfortable from early on. The setting is more like a mini Nursery than a childminder based on the resources and the activities provided, so I didn’t feel like my son missed out on not attending nursery. They are both lovely, open minded people who work with you to ensure your child’s needs are met. My son loved them and still always fondly of them both. Thank you Severine and Valentine!

Thank you Keisha for this review!
It has been a pleasure to care for your son for the past three years and I am please to still be part of his daily care by collecting him from school.
Caring for him has broaden our childcare skills as we provided activities and resources to meet each stage of his Early Learning Goals.
Thank you for choosing and continuing to have us as your childcare provider.
See you both in September xx
We found this setting on this website and it felt good straight away. During our first meeting we realized that Severine looked after my husbands sister when she was younger at a nearby nursery. We knew straight away that this was the place where we wanted our daughter to go to.
It is a wonderful setting and both Severine and Valentine are amazing carers and brilliant amongst all the children. They have a very relaxing atmosphere in the house and garden and there is always lots to explore, lunches are home cooked and it feels very natural.
The number of children at the setting was just right. My daughter learnt lots of social skills, but still got lots of attention.
Our daughter learnt so much whilst being in their care and still talks at home about Severine and Valentine. The daily notes and pictures on the online app were great for us as parents to know what her day has been like.
Our daughter has been in their care for about 18 months and sadly had to leave because we moved home. We cannot recommend them enough!

Your continued friendship over the past few months I cannot be more grateful for during a time which has been uncertain for us all.
Fiona's enthusiasm and determination to the activities we provided shall be dearly missed. As well as my cuddles and her talking about what she is doing!
It has been a pleasure and an achievement to care for another member of your family.
We wish you continued happiness and look forward to seeing you all soon xx
Severine and her mum Valentine are excellent. They have looked after my son for almost a year now (3 days a week) and he has enjoyed it from the get go. It is like a mini nursery, they do fun activities to help with development with lots of art and music making but also playing in the garden (a great space with lots to explore!). They have been excellent at keeping us updated on progress and sending daily notes and pictures/videos on how he is doing. It is a relaxed environment and the kids love playing together. I liked that it was mixed age group and not too many kids all at once especially since my son was starting quite young (from 5 months).

We shall all miss Max’s bubbly character.
Please do keep in touch as we cant wait to meet the new baby xx
Severine and her mother run an excellent service, like a mini nursery. She updates info on the babydays app daily so I can see what he ate, how long he slept etc.
My son’s speech had been slightly delayed, partly being bilingual, and it has improved dramatically since being in their care.
He eats well with them, which was surprising, and comes back exhausted and happy.
Definitely recommend Quality Childcare

Many thanks Kate for leaving a review, especially while Jacob is still in our care. We are happy he has settled in well and that we are providing activities throughout his day that he enjoys. :)
My son Kairo attended this childcare and at first I was scared to leave him alone because he was attached to me but on his first day they greeted him with smiles and he was excited and was happy to go play with the other children . I enjoyed my son attending their childcare because I felt like they were taking good care of him and he settled in straight away so I felt comfortable. This is definitely a place I would recommend by far . Very understanding and helpful . Thank you so much Severine .. Paris
