I’m a kind, calm, experienced and qualified childcare professional with over 50 years of hands-on experience. I began my career as a nursery nurse and have since worked as a private nanny, a qualified doula, and a teaching assistant providing 1:1 SEN support. I’ve also raised four children of my own and helped care for my grandchildren, so I truly understand family life from all sides.
I’ve supported children of all ages, including babies, toddlers, and school-aged children—many with additional or neurodiverse needs. I’m flexible, dependable, and passionate about providing a nurturing, supportive environment where children can feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves. I’m currently looking for a part-time nannying or childminding role where I can bring my experience, warmth, and care to a new family.
My Experience
With over 50 years of hands-on childcare experience, I’ve worked as a nursery nurse, private nanny, doula, teaching assistant, and of course, a mum to four and grandma too! I’ve cared for children of all ages, including those with additional needs, and most recently supported a lovely family with two young boys—one of whom is neurodiverse—through the assessment process. I bring a calm, caring, and flexible approach, always putting the child’s needs at the heart of what I do. I’m now looking for a part-time nanny role (around 15 hours a week), ideally after school—but I’m very open and happy to fit around a family’s routine.
