My Experience

Part-Time Weekend Nanny – A Family Friend in Nigeria (2024 - Feb, 2025)

From January, 2024 to February, 2025. I worked as a part-time nanny on weekends for a family friend in Nigeria. The family had three children aged 2, 5, and 8. My main responsibility was to care for the children while their parents were busy with work or other activities on saturdays and sundays.

I helped with feeding, bathing, dressing and playing with the younger children. I also supported the older child with reading and homework. I planned fun and safe activities to keep all the children engaged, such as drawing, storytelling, games, and outdoor play.

In addition to childcare, I assisted with light housework like cleaning up the children’s play areas, washing their clothes, and preparing simple meals and snacks.

The family trusted me because I was reliable, respectful and treated the children with care and kindness. This experience helped me build strong childcare skills and taught me the importance of patience and responsibility.

My Qualifications

Good Communication Skills – I’m very much able to speak and understand english clearly. Very comfortable giving daily updates to parents and following instructions.

Organised and Reliable – Experienced in managing routines such as feeding, bathing, playtime, homework and bedtime.

Cultural Sensitivity & Respect for Family Values – Naturally respectful and able to adjust to different parenting styles recommended.

My Availability

20 hours per week
After school hours
Weekends inclusive

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)

Hourly Rate: £12 per hour
Weekend Rate: £13 per hour for weekend care
Additional Services: Light housekeeping or meal preparation can be included for an additional fee of £[4].
I am open to discussing rates depending on the specific needs and hours required by the family. I aim to offer flexible and affordable childcare while ensuring high-quality care for your children.
