My name is Emma, and I run Little Owls Childminding — a warm, friendly, and caring home-from-home setting where children are supported to learn, grow, and flourish.
I am a registered childminder with a Good rating from Ofsted, and I’m passionate about providing high-quality care that meets each child’s individual needs. I believe that children learn best through play, and I offer a wide range of fun, stimulating activities both indoors and outdoors, encouraging creativity, independence, and confidence.

My Experience
I have over 9 years of experience working in care and childcare. I’ve been a registered childminder for the past 3 years, providing high-quality care in a home-from-home environment. Before becoming a childminder, I worked in the care sector for 6 years, both as a carer and as a senior. This experience has given me a strong foundation in compassion, responsibility, and understanding individual needs — all of which I bring into my childminding practice every day. Supporting children and helping them thrive is something I’m truly passionate about.
My Qualifications
I hold a degree in Applied Psychology, which gives me a deep understanding of child development, behaviour, and emotional well-being. Alongside my academic background, I have completed a range of childcare-specific training, including Paediatric First Aid, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) training, and other courses focused on supporting early learning and development. I’m committed to ongoing professional development to ensure I provide the best possible care and keep up to date with current best practices in the childcare sector.
My Availability
I currently have a full time space available for September 2025 start. I accept all government funding and also tax free childcare payments

Full day rate is £42 for 8 hours or over.
Under 8 hours is charged at £5 per hour.
