About Me
I am a highly qualified childcare professional, with knowledge and extensive experience of supporting neurodiverse and neurotypical children. I am a fully qualified Play Psychotherapist (for over 15 years) and am a parent to a soon to be teenager.
On my days off I enjoy wild swimming, dancing and spending time with friends.
I am a playful, compassionate and committed childcare professional. It is a privilege to build trusting relationships with the children and families that I work with. I combine positive regard and empathy with consistent boundaries and routines that support the physical and emotional needs of each child that I care for.
My Experience
I am trained to post graduate level in child development, child psychology and attachment theory. I have worked for over 25 years with children & young people in education, health and community settings (full CV available on request).
I currently work part time as a Senior Children’s Therapist for a local charity and for one day a week as a play therapist in a local primary school.
Prior to my post graduate training I worked as a HLTA (higher level teaching assistant) in a number of mainstream and SEN primary schools in South Yorkshire. I have experience of working with children with challenging behaviour, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties. I work with children from the ages of 3 to 11 years.
I have an up to date, clear and enhanced DBS certificate. I have up to date level 3 safeguarding training. I enjoy learning and regularly attend training events that are relevant to my professional roles.
My Qualifications
Post graduate diploma (masters level) in Non-directive Play Therapy from York University (2010).
BA (hons) in Drawing & Painting from Edinburgh College of Art (2000).
My Availability
Currently all day on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.50 per hour
- Nannying from £15.00 per hour (net)
£15 per hour for one child, £25 plus per hour for multiple children.
Evening babysitting is £12.50 per hour with a minimum of 4 hours per evening.
