Hi, I’m Poppy! I’m a kind, responsible and enthusiastic person with a real passion for working with children. I have a Level 2 Diploma in Early Years and hands-on experience from two placements: one at Bannock Primary School, where I supported children aged 5–11, and another at Little Oaks Day Nursery with children aged 0–5.
I always aim to create a safe, fun and caring environment where children feel comfortable and supported. I enjoy getting involved in creative activities, reading stories, and helping children learn through play. I’m reliable, patient, and great at building positive relationships with both kids and families.

My Experience
’ve gained hands-on experience through two childcare placements, one at Bannock Primary School and the other at Little Oaks Day Nursery. At Bannock, I supported children aged 5–11 in the classroom, helped with reading and group activities, and learned how to create a calm and positive learning environment. At Little Oaks, I worked with children aged 0–5, assisting with play, routines, and creative activities while learning about early years development and safeguarding. These experiences have helped me grow in confidence, responsibility, and communication when working with children of different ages.
My Qualifications
I hold a Level 2 Diploma in Early Years, which has given me a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and learning through play. I also achieved a Distinction in GCSE Hospitality and Catering, where I developed practical skills in organisation, hygiene, and working under pressure. Alongside these, I’ve completed GCSEs in English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, and English Literature, which have helped me build strong communication and problem-solving skills useful in childcare settings.
