About Me
Hi, I’m Faith! I’m a friendly, responsible, and creative person with a passion for working with children. I'm currently studying Music at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and spend my holidays and summers at home in Mirfield, West Yorkshire.
I’ve gained valuable experience working with children of all ages through youth work, residential camps, music workshops, and pastoral support roles. These experiences have taught me how to build trust with children, manage routines calmly, and create fun, engaging environments where they feel safe and supported.
I’m especially confident with toddlers and younger children and love using play, storytelling, and music-based activities to connect with them.
Outside of babysitting, I enjoy playing the double bass, running music sessions, and spending time outdoors. I’m calm under pressure, quick to adapt, and genuinely care about the wellbeing of every child I look after.
My Experience
I have extensive experience working with children in trusted settings, including youth programmes, residential camps, and music education. I’ve supported children aged 2 to 17 and feel confident caring for toddlers and older children alike.
Support Worker – National Children’s Orchestra (NCO), 2025:
I supervised and supported children during residential music projects, helping with routines, behaviour, and social interactions. I provided pastoral care, managed sign-in/out procedures, and ensured a safe, structured environment.
Student Placement – NCO Horizons Scheme, 2025:
I worked alongside music educators during rehearsals and group sessions for children aged 8–14. I supported their social and emotional development through mentoring, teamwork, and creative play.
Volunteer Youth Worker – Halifax Elim Church (2021–2024):
I supported children and teens in weekly sessions and residential trips. I helped with group games, emotional support, conflict resolution, and general care, always maintaining a safe and encouraging space.
Music Workshop Leader & Educator (2022–Present):
I’ve led creative sessions for children using music, storytelling, and group activities. These workshops helped build confidence and provided a fun, engaging space for children to express themselves.
