About Me
Hi there! I’m a student in York with early years qualifications and a love for fun. I don’t presently have a DBS, but have held these in the past and have no criminal convictions of any nature.
I enjoy cooking, baking, playing games, singing, and generally making a bit of a mess. I can also sew, have a strong understanding of IT (and basic coding skills), and have a very strong imagination!
I am conversational in French and Japanese with basic German, and have previously taken exams in music theory and trombone. I’m more than happy to help with homework and projects of any kind!
My Experience
I have an early years level 3 extended diploma in childcare. As part of this, I worked in an early years setting for a year. I’ve also previously worked as a care assistant and have experience managing various disabilities. Having autism and ADHD myself, I am more than aware of the challenges this can bring to young people, and hope to show others that my conditions do not limit me - they just change the way I do things sometimes.
My Qualifications
I have an early years level 3 extended diploma. I also have a level 3 diploma in broadcast journalism, GCSEs in a variety of subjects (including maths and English), and I’m studying toward a degree in Japanese and linguistics. I’ve studied abroad in Tokyo for one year too! Outside of academia, I’ve also gained a certificate in Grade 5 music theory and Grade 6 trombone. I believe the most important learning is done outside of the classroom!
My Availability
I will have more availability once I have my university timetable available for viewing. I will be able to work after 13/09 (when I return to York), and can work full weekends and evenings (until 9pm).
