My Experience
I have over two years of full-time experience working in a nursery setting, supporting a wide range of children from babies to preschool age. This included children with special needs and neurodivergence. I worked across different rooms, providing care, guidance, and engaging activities tailored to each child’s needs.
I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school for six months, supporting children from nursery to Year 2. My responsibilities included:
• Assisting with phonics, reading, writing, and maths activities
• Supporting children with special needs, including selective mutism and other developmental challenges
• Managing group activities such as “bucket time” and creative tasks
• Providing one-to-one and small group support to ensure every child’s learning and engagement
I am trained in first aid and safeguarding, and I have a strong understanding of creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of all ages.
My Qualifications
Full First Aid Training (Paediatric/Child)
• Safeguarding and Child Protection trained
• Teaching Assistant experience (nursery to Year 2)
• Nursery practitioner experience, including supporting children with special needs and neurodivergence
• Strong understanding of early years learning frameworks and developmentally appropriate activities
• Currently starting my QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in September
My Availability
I’ll be free Friday evenings then for Saturdays and Sundays morning till the afternoon
