Heyy!! My name is Sumeiya, I’m 23 years old, and I’m from Germany. I’m here for one semester as part of my study abroad program.
On the side, I’d love to earn a little extra money doing something I truly enjoy: babysitting! :)

My Experience
Before becoming an au pair, I babysat for several families in my neighborhood in Germany.
From December 2021 to June 2023, I worked as an au pair with Cultural Care. For one year, I lived with a host family in California, caring for three children (boy, 2; girl, 10; boy, 12). I then extended my stay for another 6 months in Pennsylvania, where I looked after four girls aged 1½, 4, 7, and 10.
Alongside my au pair duties, I also babysat for babies and children in the neighborhood.
Before moving to Birmingham this September for university, I babysat for two families in Germany: one with a 12-year-old son, and another (more regularly) with an 11-month-old baby boy.
My Qualifications
• Completed Cultural Care Au Pair training, which included infant and child CPR.
• Additional CPR training during my German driver’s license course.
• Fully vaccinated.
• Holder of the Cultural Care Au Pair Certificate
My Availability
At the moment, I am free on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday morning, and friday afternoon. I’m also happy to babysit on weekends or step in as a last-minute babysitter if needed. Of course, I think availability is something best discussed directly with you to find what works for both sides! :)
