Roseanna
Nanny in London (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I am a friendly and enthusiastic qualified primary teacher and experienced early years educator with a calm and thoughtful approach to working with children. Creativity is a big part of who I am, and it naturally shapes how I work with children — through storytelling, imaginative play, making, and outdoor exploration. Alongside childcare, I am a writer and enjoy making art and creative projects in my spare time. I also work as a baby and preschool swimming teacher, which has deepened my experience supporting young children’s confidence, trust and independence in a gentle and encouraging way.
I previously worked in mainstream primary and nursery education, but chose to step away because I felt most passionate about supporting children’s social, emotional and creative development — areas which can often be overlooked due to the pressures of large classes and limited resources. I value helping children build confidence, curiosity and emotional security alongside early learning skills. My approach is calm, attentive and child-led, while providing clear and consistent boundaries that help children feel settled and supported. I enjoy getting to know each child as an individual and adapting to their interests, personality and pace of development.
I am currently looking for nannying and/or tutoring roles that fit alongside my existing creative and teaching commitments, and I am especially interested in building long-term, trusting relationships with families. I can offer nannying and tutoring/learning support, particularly for younger children and early primary ages. My teaching background allows me to gently weave learning into everyday play, supporting school readiness and confidence without pressure.

- Supporting children with SEND and diverse learning needs

- Creating hands-on learning experiences through art, storytelling and outdoor exploration
I am confident supporting:

- School readiness skills
- Early literacy and numeracy
- Emotional regulation and confidence building
My background in education allows me to gently incorporate learning into everyday play in a natural and enjoyable way.
