Hi,
My name is Sarah, I am 22 Years old and currently living in Tuddenham, Ipswich. I have a degree in early childhood studies and a year ago was awarded with my early years professional status.
I currently work full time at a nursery in the area, however, I am looking for babysitting work at weekends or evenings.
I am fully CRB checked and have recently taken the full 2 day first aid course and safeguarding children course. I do hold a full clean drivers licence, and recently got a car.
I love working with children of all ages. I am a very bubbly and enthusiastic person and also love to be creative.
My Experience
I have studied Health and social care for a total of 3 years at school and during my time at sixth form. During this time I have done various childcare placements and even went on to help voluntary for 2 years at one school after the placement period had ended. I then went on to study Early Childhood at uni.. In the last 3 years at uni I have worked in lots of childcare settings inlcuding spending a great deal of time at a special needs school working with children who have various learning disabilities.
During the summer 2009 I have been living with my parents in Cambridge and have worked with 2 families. One of which has a newborn baby girl who I have been caring for over the first 3 months of her life. The second family I have been working for have 3 children aged 5,7 and 9 who I have been caring for. I have also worked in a nursery school in Cambridge during the holidays for the last 2 1/2 years where I help run a holiday playscheme so I am more than used to coming up with fun and creative activites for children.
As from easter 2010, I have been working at a childrens camp in Retford called Action Adventure LTD. Here i have been an assistant childcare worker, working with those aged 4-14.
I also have experience working with much older children. during the summer of 2010 I worked at Bawdsey's international school with children aged from 11-16 years.
As said before I currently work at a nursery in ipswich as room leader for preschool children.
I have been working towards gaining the Early years professional status which I have recently finished. Since I gained this I now work as a nursery teacher in a small private nursery
